Earth Day

The 22nd April is Earth Day, which aims to raise awareness of the challenges facing the environment today and to demonstrate support for environmental protection across the world.

At Allen Pyke we take our responsibility to the environment very seriously. We consider the potential environmental impact of every development and seek ways to mitigate them. This may be through Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) or informally throughout the design process. We are always looking for opportunities to enhance biodiversity and maximise environment benefits of a scheme.

We have developed a Sustainability Checklist which we use internally to ensure our proposals are as sustainable as possible. This covers all stages of design from maximising green infrastructure at the masterplanning stage to considering the  source of hard landscape materials and origin of plant stock during implementation.
