The latest area of public realm at Great Western Park has recently received planning consent. The Primary School Square, in front of the first of two new primary schools within the development, includes raised lawn areas which provide informal seating and a small colourful play area. The square will be constructed this year in time for the school opening in September.

One of the other play areas is also nearing completion. The Local Park LEAP includes timber play equipment set within a soft landscaped zone.

Both play areas were designed following public consultation events with local children.
