Allen Pyke successfully provided key landscape evidence at a planning appeal in support of new playing fields and ground modelling in Green Belt, with David Allen acting as an Expert Witness at the Hearing. The Inspector’s decision to uphold the appeal against Waverley Borough Council was important because it has helped to clarify what the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)  defines as ‘appropriate’ development following recent judicial reviews in the High Court had ruled against similar recreation and amenity activities within the designation.
