St Bene’t’s Church, Cambridge – Planting for all seasons
Nearing completion at the end of this month is this all-season planting scheme for the courtyard at the entrance to St Bene’t’s Church in Cambridge. The entrance has been refurbished by Freeland Rees Roberts Architects to accommodate a wheelchair ramp, from the churchyard gates, past an attractive Ironwood tree, wrapping back on itself to the church doors. The shade tolerant planting will add year-round interest with its evergreen foliage and splashes of seasonal colour. Over 400 bulbs will add further interest in late winter and early spring.
