We are extremely pleased to be part of Crest Nicholson’s team for the Monksmoor development, which was highly recommended in the ‘Best Housing Scheme (500 homes or more)’ category at the annual Planning Awards. Allen Pyke have been heavily involved in the landscape design of the new development in Daventry, Northamptonshire, with Senior Landscape Architect Nora Marfai, leading the project.

In particular, the scheme was praised at the recent awards ceremony for its positive impact on its surrounding environment, and the economic and social wellbeing it offers. The development has been built with 21^st Century Garden Village Principles in mind, to provide a modern and vibrant community in addition to smart and sustainable housing.

We assisted the design of open space, which includes a children’s play area, beautiful open-areas of grass and clever planting. Cycle and footpaths meander along the canal, making the area multi-functional and yet highly attractive and in-keeping with the area and specification.

We are extremely proud of our input into this award winning scheme and look forward to developing landscape proposals for future phases, including a country park.
