Solar Farms

Allen Pyke have been commissioned to prepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments for a number of sites across England, which had been identified as having potential for solar (photo-voltaic) farm development. As part of the commissions Allen Pyke have been involved in evolving the development parameters and potential mitigation measures for each site.

We have been appointed to provide evidence in objection to proposed solar farms where there is deemed to be adverse impact on the landscape character or visual amenity of the setting.

The sites have varied in size and sensitivity, ranging from 2 to 32ha and from semi-industrial landscapes to an undeveloped coastal site close to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Local Nature Reserve.
