Reserved Matters planning consent for the 134 unit Vulcan Works scheme in St Helens, Merseyside, has been granted. Allen Pyke were commissioned by St Modwen Homes to produce a soft landscape scheme which responded to the site-wide strategy developed with RPS. The strategy included native buffer planting sensitively located to reinforce the existing green infrastructure. The planting was selected with hardiness in mind as well amenity value. Trees were selected for their robustness and sensitivity to the restrictive foundation strategy.
