On the 2nd May the Kingston team visited Hillier’s Tree Nursery in Liss, Hampshire. We were introduced with a very informative presentation from Caroline Swann on Biosecurity and our responsibilities as designers in our selection, specification and implementation. We then learnt more about the tree selection process (bare root, container,rootball) and which types is most applicable to different types of design and content.

The sun finally came out and we went into the field to carry out some tree identification and gain some understanding into the production and lead in time for different species.
