Central London CPD

This week the Kingston and Cambridge teams met for a CPD afternoon visiting pocket parks and hidden gardens in central and east London.

We visited several new or refurbished sites including the Derbyshire Street Pocket Park in Bethnal Green which is a great example of retrofitted sustainable urban drainage, and the Barbican roof gardens. We also attended more historic sites such as Postman’s Park which is home to the Watts Memorial to Heroic Self-Sacrifice.

Our tour finished near Liverpool Street station so the day was rounded off with a curry in Brick Lane!
